Output/core tasks Internal tasks
• Developing and implementing a regulatory risk management plan for acsis to ensure that acsis and its associated companies comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Particular focus will be on compliance relating to collective investment schemes, LISPs, retirement funds and life insurance business, so experience in these areas of financial services is essential.
• Proactively scanning and researching the regulatory environment, keeping the business informed and updated on compliance issues.

External tasks
• Providing outsourced compliance services to financial planners.
• Particular focus will be on compliance with FAIS, FICA and any other regulatory requirements pertaining to financial planners, so experience relating to personal financial planning is essential.
• Proactively scanning and researching the regulatory environment as it pertains to financial planners, and keeping them informed and updated on compliance issues.
• The person must be willing to travel to Gauteng, Cape Town, KZN and the Eastern Cape on a regular basis.
position requirements - qualifications
• Legal or accounting degree or accreditation with the Compliance Institute is essential to meet FSB approval requirements in terms of FAIS
• Post graduate LLB preferably.
• Certificate in Compliance Management highly recommended
• Qualification in financial planning or accreditation as a Certified Financial Planner highly recommended.


Experience/knowledge
• A minimum of 3-5 three years financial services industry related experience (e.g. life insurance, investments and retirement funds) is essential to meet FSB approval requirements in terms of FAIS.
• Experience in a compliance role is essential.
• In-depth working knowledge of financial services legislation is essential, especially FAIS, FICA, Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, Long Term Insurance Act and the Pension Funds Act.
