Daily 1.1 Research and obtain information about South African and International tax laws that will aid in a tax saving strategy for the group and its subsidiaries. 1.2 Provided sound technical accounting and tax advice which adheres to applicable laws and regulations but still adds value to the company and its financial position and operations. 1.3 Part of the team that produces the group office results. 2. Weekly 2.2 Update tax filing. 2.3 Respond to SARS with any correspondence required. 3. Monthly 3.1 Submit VAT returns and ensure payments are made. 3.2 Ensure that VAT reconciliations are done for each VAT period. 3.3 Reconcile all tax ledger accounts. 3.4 Obtain tax asset registers from all entities and check wear and tear calculations. 4. Annually 4.1 Obtain annual tax packs from all the entities, review and confirm correct completion. 4.2 Perform the group tax computation for the tax year. 4.3 Complete the IT14 tax returns for all companies and submit to SARS. 4.4 Review AFS to confirm technical disclosure is correct in terms of IFRS and/or SA GAAP. 4.5 Obtain tax clearance certificates for all requesting entities. 4.6 Ensure that IT34 assessments are received for each tax-registered company for each tax year. 4.7 Produce the statutory financials for all subsidiary companies. 5.
