Key Performance Areas Include: • Liaise and co-ordinate with the mining engineer to ensure adherence to project and client requirements and specifications • Accurately mark-up designs for drafting personnel • Produce schedules to the required quality and detail • Ensure quality standards are adhered to by having work checked for accuracy before it is issued • Ensure that all mine designs are carried out in accordance with client standards and specification documentation, industry norms and the relevant legislation • Ensure the effective review and approval of Mining design and engineering • Develop improved work practices and ensure familiarity with new mining technologies • Provide mining inputs for mining feasibility studies Experience • At least 3 years mining experience • 1 year must be in a design capacity using the software listed below Preferred Requirements: Education Mandatory • Matric Certificate or equivalent Preferred • Tertiary qualification in Mining, Geology or a Mineral Resources related discipline Advantageous • Blasting ticket • Mine Managers Certificate • Mine Managers Certificate • Mine Survey qualification or certificate • Rock Mechanics qualification or certificate • Ventilation Certificate or equivalent Training • Computer literacy – the following are mandatory requirements - MS Word - MS Excel • Mine design and scheduling software – at least one of the following are mandatory - Datamine or Mine 2-4D - CadsMine • Mine design and scheduling software – The following are advantageous in conjunction with above - Surpac - Gemcom Whittle, • Mine surveying software – at least one of the following are mandatory - Bentley MicroStation - AutoCad Salary negotiable on experience Candidates will be subjected to a selection process.
