Reviewing, maintaining and updating the site operating manual 3. Develop and maintain a compliance system with respect to site permits and legislation (Site operating permit, effluent discharge permit, schedule trade permit). 4. Ensure that monitoring protocols are adhered to (This may mean coordinating with service providers, taking and delivering samples etc). 5. Managing the reports, records and registers for all monitoring that occurs on the various sites. 6. Implementation of programmes to address recommendations from consultants, monitoring reports and audits. 7. Coordinate and participate in external compliance audits, customer audits, internal head office audits and any other audits conducted on sites 8. Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective action 9. Advice on permit issues, monitoring required, areas for improvement and technical issues on site. 10. Ensure training and awareness program is developed and implemented with regard to landfill activities 11. Correspondence with authorities 12. Compiling, maintaining and submission of records/reports in line with legislative requirements 13. Comply with operational and legal requirements with regard to Health and Safety. |
